In expanding from a grassroots operation to a promotional marketing team working with some of Canada’s most prominent, highly-regarded organizations, BrandAlliance needed to update their space to reflect their identity. With their dedication to community ties and maintaining a “good neighbour” status, the challenge was to embody BrandAlliance’s principles in their space’s layout and design.
BrandAlliance’s creative approach was readily compatible with Aura’s, and the results bore that out vividly. BA’s outlook towards diversity and multiculturalism was figuratively reflected by the choice to use a variety of vibrant, eye-catching colours in furnishings and accents. Highlighting the building’s original industrial features and structures — including brick, exposed beams, and mortar — gave a sense of both longtime permanence and updated renewal, both complementing and contrasting with newer installations such as glass partitions, contemporary furnishings, and cutting-edge media tech to pull off a strong retro-modern balance. And a sense of close-knit openness between employees was encouraged with spacious seating areas, an in-house lunch/break room, and a rooftop patio that encouraged inter-office collaborations and creative brainstorming.
